I have a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at the University of Alberta (accredited by the Canadian Psychological Association) and have been a Registered Psychologist since 2005. I began my career working in women’s shelters, and more recently worked with the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton, developing the Wîwîp’son Healing from Sexual Trauma Circle for Indigenous women.
I am Dene/Métis, and have worked extensively with Indigenous families and those impacted by the Indian Residential Schools in Edmonton. My education and work experience has equipped me with a strong social justice perspective, cross cultural awareness and sensitivity. I have a great respect for diversity, and it is my priority to create a space that is inclusive and welcoming.
